This statement dress ring in the bombé style by Julia-Plana showcases three rows of Maw Sit Sit, alternating with two rows of Lapis Lazuli, interspersed with an intricate twisted rope-work detail. All in a curving, tactile form, displaying exquisite craftsmanship and set in 18ct yellow gold. Signed “G.J&W. DESIGN JULIA-PLANA, S750”. Circa 1980. Augustin Julia-Plana was highly regarded for his magnificent and unique designs, creating jewellery for Tiffany & Co. as well as under his own name. He delighted in the unusual and this exceptional ring featuring Maw Sit Sit is the perfect example of his work.
